Review of 14K White Gold Genuine Oval Amethyst and Diamond Ring

This ring is a deep purple hue that amethyst or purple lovers alike will appreciate as a first ring for a teenager or young adult. The design is gorgeous, the clarity of the color is deep and clear, the band is a flattering color, and the white gold keeps it clean and safe to wash with. The reason why I recommend it as a first ring is because of the small carat size. The quality isn't compromised at all, but giving it to someone who's become accustomed to larger stones may feel like this is a rip off. For newbies, though, it's a great first ring. The small carat size is also more appropriate for someone with smaller hands or fingers, which is the case with me. While $169, as one of the cheaper jewelry within the real range, is still pricey, it's a good starting point. For anything real, you have to drop the dough. And yet it wouldn't be as great of a loss if you lost it. My other complaint is about the diamonds. Online the diamond chips have a brightening impact, but in person, it actually darkens the white gold. It's nothing fancy. I think it might look nicer without the dots that don't resemble diamonds at all. It does add texture, though. I just dislike the misleading image. It gives the impression of a larger stone and brighter look, but the half carat is clearly specified. And, unfortunately, amethyst rings like this are rarely found in jewelry stores. In my opinion, it's an appropriate ring for a girl within the age of 15 to 18 years especially as a birthday gift for Pisces (February). It's certainly not the ultimate ring, though. If you want a larger stone, this isn't for you.
